Savior of the Nations Come

In the hyme, Luther is talks about Jesus' birth and how we should glorify him. He uses pathos to help us better understand how powerful this deed was that Jesus did for us, which is dying on the cross to save us from our sins. It also shows how pasionate he is toward this. In the first and second verses he talks about Jesus being born of the Virgin Mary and coming to earth as man. He uses words such as flesh and blood to describe Christ as being man. In verses three, four, and five, he goes on to talk about how the world betrayed him, but he was still king in heaven. Then he rose from the dead with defeat over sin. Luther says that his song of triumph swells. He also says that his kingdom will be boundless and we are waiting to see its holyness. This shows that he was also true God, because only true God can die and raise again to save man from their sins. The last two verses are more about us and our response to what Jesus did for us. He says we should have faith in him and keep our faith shining, and that we should accept the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as our Holy Trinity.

Jesus

1. 32 times

2. VERBS: makes, slain, is, took, died, lives, died, rose, reigns, push, telling, calling, is there.

3. Rev. Borghardt talked about the joy of becoming a believer in Jesus. He told of the eternal life, and salvation you will receive once becoming a Christain and that you have to do nothing to receive these wonderful gifts. He also explains that we go to Heaven once our worldly bodies die. All of this is referred to as the Gospel. On the other hand, Edwards theme in his sermon is to make the people fear God. He does this by making it sound like God is an angry God and we have to follow the Law perfectly to receive His salvation.

Law banning items from rearview mirrors is being rethought

This article is about reducing the Michigan ban on objects hanging from the rearview mirror. Michigan lawmakers are thinking about allowing small items to be hung from the mirror as long as they do not block the driver's view. Some people were just ignorant of the law: "'I thought it was legal as long as it's not something that obstructs your view.'" I think this is the best quote in the article because I believe that most people in the state of Michigan also had no idea about the law. I certainly didn't. I have always seen people hang different items from their mirrors, so I would have never thought that it was illegal. I understand why the ban is in place, but as long as someone is not going overboard with the fuzzy dice and air fresheners, I think people should be allowed to hang small items. If it is not impairing their driving, I do not have a problem with it. I agree with the statement of allowing small items to hang from the rearview mirror.

Mitch Albom

Mitch Albom's point was to show that the statement about race was pointless. I agree with Mitch's point here because there was no reason to bring up race. It was a needless excuse that is often used towards African American athletes. Mitch Albom's most effective point was when he quotes Lebron by saying "I'm gonna take my talents to South Beach". Lebron's ego is out of control that he does not even mention his teammates he just states I am going to South Beach.
